The Western Canadian Barista Championship is part of the Canadian Barista Championship, a competition designed to highlight the craft of the barista and espresso preparation. In 2010, Western Canadian Champion Rob Kettner went on to represent Canada in the 2011 World Barista Championship, held in Bogota, Colombia. For more information or to compete, judge, or volunteer for the WCBC, please visit the Canadian Barista Academy official registration site.

 

The Brewer’s Cup is a new specialty coffee competition designed to emphasize excellence in single-cup brewing techniques. This is the first time this great competition event is being held in Canada! For more informtation on the event’s design and rules, please visit the World Brewer’s Cup page.

The International Pairs Invitational is the unique competition feature at the For the Love of Coffee event. The Pairs Invitational promotes teamwork, excellence in espresso preparation, and competition in a realistic cafe work environment. Competitors work in pairs to produce beverages in rapid sequence. 2. Submit the competition fee payment ($100 per pair) below the registration form.
